Looking for your new favorite spot for a coffee before work or a place to spend a Sunday morning with some friends? The newly opened Chadds Ford Coffee House, located at 1620 Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford, has the quaintness of a local coffee shop, including a wholesome and unique backstory. Although it’s a newly opened establishment, this cozy coffee shop has been a lively center for community engagement and a favorite among locals and tourists since its opening.
The owners Jackie and her husband Steve, who are originally from New Jersey, discovered what was at the time a small bank in October of 2022, and made it their mission to transform the space into the perfect coffee house. Jackie mentions that she and her husband picked Chadds Ford as the location of their business because of the peaceful area, rolling hills, and the friendly residents. Having previous careers as physical therapists, the husband-and-wife duo had to jump into the world of business owning and coffee selling with only Steve’s prior experience as a barista to guide them. The couple worked hard for years, overcame many obstacles in the process, and eventually found success when they finally opened up the Chadds Ford Coffee House this past April.
The coffee house owners and employees create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere for their customers by maintaining a cozy interior design, friendly service, and a variety of menu options. When asked what impact she wishes to leave on the community, Jackie stated, “We want people to just come in and smell the coffee. We want to give people a good cup of coffee and [to] make them happy, and we hope that the experience of our coffee house will leave a lasting impact on our customers, too.”
Their diverse menu offers various drink options, from multiple flavors of coffee to fruit smoothies and a selection of 15 different teas. Along with drinks, customers can also choose from several delicious baked goods, such as muffins, croissants, scones, and their seasonal pumpkin bread. The cafe has gained instant popularity and maintains a 4.9 rating from 55 reviews, and Jackie and Steve have high hopes for the future success and growth of the coffee house.
