Unity, family, community—these are a few of the many virtues the Centro de Cultura Arte Trabajo y Educacion, or CCATE, embodies. In empowering the Latino-X community, their specialized programs foster individual growth and a sense of belonging. The organization features a vast variety of activities, from yoga and zumba to college preparedness and classes with guest speakers. Over the years they have received a multitude of awards and grants for their incredible mission and commitment to brightening the community. Recently, the non-profit was recognized by Impact 100, who describe how the “vibrancy of CCATE is evident the moment you enter through the doors” in their Norristown facility.

However, the organization extends beyond programs. Their participatory research center works relentlessly to identify and address ways the community can be improved, investigating the little and small changes they and others can make to support the future. Additionally, CCATE’s Health Circle focuses on bettering the lives of those in Norristown in promoting a healthy lifestyle, fitness classes, and general wellness awareness.

Through communal engagement and encouragement toward what each individual can do to make their futures all the brighter, CCATE serves as a facility brimming with positive change and life. The non-profit fosters unity and curiosity through their wide range of engaging classes and nurtures a sense of excitement to learn and better oneself. CCATE’s dedication will forever hold value in the community as their empowering work changes the lives of all who walk through their doors.
